History
The Medupi Bonsmara stud was registered in 2016 and Nico Pieterse from Syferfontein Bonsmaras was appointed as our herd mentor
of whom we bought our first bulls. Later, genetics from mainly Poggenpoel Bonsmaras Molopo were added.
Breeding Policy
Our focus is the production of quality, hardy bulls for breeders. Bulls should have good external characteristics with regards to structure,
head, shape, walking abilities and production capabilities together with acceptable genetic performance and hereditary traits.
Therefore, we select for famine females with good capacity and as much as possible attributes to recognised cow values for fertility, calving ease,
calf growth and maintenance.
